The respective provider informs independently (e.g. in a separate data protection statement) about how it uses personal data, including when using the technical platform of Smart Abstract.

3. Processing purposes and legal basis

Smart Abstract GmbH collects, processes and uses personal data exclusively on behalf of the client or an agency commissioned for this purpose, for the management of the submission, review and planning of abstracts and the related implementation of the events. To the same extent, the author data mentioned in the context of the abstract submission will be used. (Art. 6 para. 1 lit b DS-GVO, Art. 6 para. 1 lit c. DS-GVO).


4. How long do we store your data?

The data stored by you will be stored for the duration of the contractual relationship between you and the customer of Smart Abstract GmbH mentioned under 3.If this contractual relationship expires or you make use of your rights mentioned under point 4, your data will be deleted in accordance with your exercise of rights, if applicable, unless legal regulations provide for longer retention periods.


5. Your data protection rights

The data subject has the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability. Likewise, the data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.
