Guidelines for submitting an abstract

  • Abstract deadline: October 1, 2025 (midnight EST)

We are seeking abstracts:

  • from a broad range of biomedical and non-biomedical disciplines that are relevant to the global health challenges the world is facing
  • from institutions around the world 
  • that contain solutions that could impact policies and be implemented to improve the wellbeing of people and the health of our planet
  • that broadly align with the conference theme 'The Future of Global Health'

Abstract Submission

  • Please submit your abstracts online only. Abstracts submitted via e-mail or any other method will not be accepted.
  • Please note that submitters can submit a max. number of three abstracts per submitter! Additional abstracts will be rejected. 
  • The sole conference and abstract submission language is English.
  • Abstract changes and corrections will be accepted until the deadline on October 1, 2025 (midnight EST).
  • Acceptance notifications will be sent by November 30, 2025.
  • For presenting authors of accepted abstracts, conference registration and physical / in person participation in this conference is mandatory. Virtual participation will not be possible.

Notifications (Emails)

  • Please note that only the submitting (corresponding) author receives all notifications for the abstract. Therefore, please make sure that emails from information@smart-abstract.com are not marked as spam by your email provider.
  • Submitters take responsibility for informing all co-authors of the successful submission, acceptance or rejection, as well as forwarding any necessary instructions to presenters on how / when to present an accepted abstract.

Content and format

  • Do not repeat or type the abstract title or the name(s) of the author(s) in the body of the abstract!
  • Review the FAQ to choose the correct abstract type (scientific, programmatic or GH education abstract type)
  • Please phrase your abstract clearly, and structure it according to the abstract section headers (Background, Methods, Findings, Interpretation).
  • Only standard abbreviations should be used.
  • The abstract content (abstract body) is limited to a maximum of 2500 Characters (including spaces) plus 250 additional characters for the presentation title (including spaces).
  • Please refrain from formatting your abstract (bold, paragraph spacing etc.). We cannot guarantee that abstracts will be formatted in the exact way as entered as any formatting will be removed automatically. Abstracts should be submitted as Plain Text.
  • Tables and pictures are not allowed.
