Regular abstract guidelines
The Organizing Committee welcomes the submission of abstracts for presentations at the 4th International Conference of the German Society of Nursing Science, 08-09 May 2025 in Berlin.
In order to standardise the abstract layout, we kindly ask you to read the guidelines carefully.
Guidelines for preparation abstracts
- Abstracts may only be submitted online. Abstracts submitted via e-mail, post, fax, or other methods will generally not be accepted.
- The conference language is English.
- Abstracts must be submitted in English. Please use UK English spelling.
- The presenter of an accepted abstract must register and attend the congress.
- Poster presenters must be present and stand by their posters during their assigned poster sessions.
- Provide a short specific title indicating the nature of the submission.
- The title may not exceed 150 characters including spaces. The abstract text may not be longer than 2.500 characters (including spaces), excluding disclosures.
- Images and tables must not be included.
- Abstracts for individual presentations and posters should be structured as follows:
- Background and Objectives
- Design and Methods
- Results
- Conclusions
- All abbreviations must be defined the first time they appear in the text.
- Results of studies must already be available when the abstract is submitted. Abstracts in which results are promised will not be accepted.
- Authors should indicate their presentation type preference:
- Oral presentation (12-15 minutes)
- Symposium (60 or 90 minutes) (please refer to separate guidelines)
- Workshop (60 or 90 minutes) (please refer to separate guidelines)
- Poster presentation (5 minutes)
The review board reserves the right to decide on the final allocation and presentation type.
- Disclosure of potential conflict of interest (e.g. grant support, consultancy, membership on advisory boards) by all authors and source of funding are mandatory. Each listed author should prepare a one-sentence statement to this effect.
- Submitting (corresponding) authors take responsibility for informing all co-authors of the successful submission, acceptance or rejection, as well as for forwarding to presenters any instructions received on how to present the abstract.
- Please make sure to state your correct e-mail address. Note that only the submitting (corresponding) person receives all notifications about the abstract. Therefore, make sure that emails from information@smart-abstract.com are not marked as spam by your email provider.
Abstract changes and corrections will be accepted until the deadline on Thursday, November 14, 2024 (midnight, CET)

Notification
Each abstract will be reviewed by 2 experts according to relevance, originality, clarity, and scientific quality of the submitted abstract. Final selection will be made by the review board. Notification of acceptance or rejection of submitted abstracts will be sent to the corresponding authors via email approx. on December 21, 2024. Full instructions concerning preparation and presentation will be included.
Publication
All accepted abstracts will be published. By submitting an abstract the author gives permission for publication.
